Ebrahim’s Café Kajumi in Prenzlauer Berg is a thoughtfully curated space that brings together coffee culture, community, and design heritage. The café is conceived as a timeless environment — a place that honours objects and design from the past while giving them a contemporary context.

Cafe Kajumi, Berlin

Design references are quietly woven throughout the interior: sled chairs by Swedish architect Sven Markelius, Alvar Aalto’s iconic stool for Artek, and hand-painted ceramics by German ceramicist Hedwig Bollhagen. The influence of modernism is present in subtle Bauhaus colour accents, creating a dialogue between function, history, and form.

This portrait series captures Ebrahim within the space he has created — a café where design, atmosphere, and hospitality come together.
